Happy Thanksgiving Huskies!

As the Holiday Season begins, the Club  is thrilled to announce that we will be kicking off our Second Annual Make-A-Wish fundraising drive, running from this Friday, 11/28, through the end of the year, 12/31.

This year, our efforts will support kids like Dylann, a 6 year old kidney transplant recipient and aspiring hockey player from Keedysville, MD, who wished for an indoor hockey rink!!

When it came time for six-year-old Dylann to decide on her wish, there was only one thing that came to mind- hockey! Dylann has spent her whole life watching hockey with her family, specifically the Washington Capitals, and enjoys shooting pucks with her dad and older brother in the driveway. Since receiving a kidney transplant, Dylann hasn’t been able to participate in any hockey-related activities outside the house, so Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic brought hockey to Dylann’s home. We are thrilled for Dylann and her family, and can’t wait to continue following her journey from the sidelines!

The Team that raises the most money will be eligible for a celebratory dinner at the Greene Turtle in Burtonsville, at a time and date of their choice!

As we sit around our tables during Thanksgiving (or rinkside this weekend!), celebrating our holidays with family and friends through the remainder of the year, let’s think about Dylann and other children awaiting their wishes - and put the full energy of our Club behind this endeavor!!
